THE ROLE

 

We’re looking for a Brand Event & Activations Manager to join the Canyon team. In this role, you’ll take the lead in planning and executing global events and marketing initiatives that bring the Canyon brand to life. We are seeking a candidate with strong event and project management experience, combined with a passion for the cycling industry.

 

Your focus will be on developing and implementing a strategic approach to physical events that drive global brand awareness and growth. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to create impactful, high-quality experiences that strengthen our position in the bike market.

YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW

 

  • Event Management: Planning and execution of global key events, from concept development to on-site implementation. Responsible for coordinating all aspects, including vendor, partner, and sponsor management, ensuring impactful and memorable experiences
  • Project Management: Oversee marketing initiatives independently, including performance tracking, reporting, and optimization to align with business objectives.
  • Activation Strategy Planning: Develop, plan, and implement global activation concepts that strengthen the Road, MTB & Urban categories and deliver measurable impact.
  • Global Responsibility: Lead and manage events and other brand activations across key regions, including North America, EMEA, and APAC – Ensuring seamless execution and consistent brand representation.
  • Process Optimization: Establish and refine structures and processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and sustainable success across all event and brand activation activities.
  • Calendar Management: Oversee the activation calendar, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives, prioritization of key brand focus areas, and maximum impact and efficiency.

HOW TO BECOME PART OF THE RACE

 

  • You have a degree in event management or a related field, with over 3 years of hands-on experience in event or project management.
  • You will lead the entire event development process from concept to execution, setting clear objectives, developing strategies, and allocating resources to ensure success.
  • You take full ownership of deliverables, making key decisions, setting priorities, and adjusting plans as necessary to drive project success.
  • You make proactive, strategic decisions that align with overall goals, empowered to adjust processes and resources as needed to meet objectives.
  • You have a proven track record in long-term planning and strategic execution, setting goals and allocating resources over time to ensure sustainable success.
  • You’re highly organized, adaptable, and thrive in dynamic environments. Your communication and presentation skills are exceptional, and you maintain composure and assertiveness even in high-pressure situations.
  • You have a deep passion for and understanding of various riding scenes and their cultures.

 

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Willing to travel globally and work on weekends.
  • Valid German class B driving license (or equivalent).
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken. German is a plus.
  • Based in or around Koblenz, Germany. Willing to relocate. Hybrid work options available.
