THE ROLE
As the Inventory Manager for Customization / MTO, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the inventory of bike components to meet the unique demands of our global Customization program. Your key responsibility will be to ensure the right inventory levels are maintained to support business objectives while developing scalable systems and processes to drive efficiency and growth in MTO operations. You will collaborate cross-functionally with various departments, suppliers, and partners to streamline the inventory planning process, aiming for a shift toward low-touch or touchless planning systems.

Inventory Management
- Process Optimization: Enhance and evolve the current inventory management system for Customization / MTO, driving a shift from manual, high-touch planning to automated, low-touch or touchless processes.
- Forecasting: Set a vision and establish and implement processes to determine optimal stock levels, ensuring component availability aligns with business goals and customer demand.
- End-of-Life Management: Proactively manage the lifecycle of components, coordinating actions for inventory reduction or reallocation to prevent excess stock at the end of product cycles.
Reporting and Data-Driven Decision Making
- KPI-Driven Approach: Foster a data-driven culture by developing and monitoring KPIs to track performance, inventory levels, and operational efficiency. Create and manage regular inventory reports.
- Collaborative Decision Making: Utilize Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to drive informed decisions. Lead and facilitate regular collaboration meetings with internal teams and external suppliers to align on inventory needs and improvements.
Global Supply Chain Optimization
- Supply Chain Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sourcing, production, and logistics to streamline the entire supply chain—from component procurement to final delivery.
- Technology Integration: Identify and support the integration of advanced inventory and supply chain technologies to enhance process efficiency, reduce costs, and improve supplier relationships.
HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or related fields, ideally within a manufacturing or customization-based environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of inventory management software, supply chain technologies, and planning tools.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex data and use insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to manage inventory challenges, optimize processes, and reduce inefficiencies.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work together with cross-functional teams and collaborate with external suppliers.
- Fluent in English, German or Asian language skills are a benefit
