Job Description

THE ROLE

As an IT Network Engineer (m/f/d), you will take ownership of the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of our global network infrastructure. Beyond managing corporate networks, firewalls, and connectivity solutions, you will play a key role in ensuring maximum network availability, performance, and security across all global locations. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will lead future-oriented network projects and act as a reliable partner for complex infrastructure challenges within the Canyon Crew.

 

This role is based in our Canyon Tech Hub Barcelona, bringing together top tech talent to shape the future of cycling.

YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW

  • IT Operations Support: As an IT Network Engineer, you support ensuring smooth IT operations.
  • Network Architecture & Availability: You are responsible for the continuous development of our network architecture (LAN, WLAN) and ensure its availability.
  • Infrastructure Administration & Optimization: You assist with the administration, configuration, and optimization of critical infrastructure components (firewalls, switches, access points).
  • Troubleshooting & Documentation: You carry out troubleshooting and performance optimization in complex environments and create corresponding documentation within our digital system landscape.
  • IT Project Management: You proactively and purposefully contribute to IT projects, which are also part of your responsibilities.

HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE

  • You have successfully completed a degree in (Business) Informatics or vocational training in IT and have several years of professional experience
  • You are enthusiastic about integrating and operating highly critical and highly available systems, as well as working with challenging technologies
  • Very good knowledge of network concepts (LAN, WLAN, VPN) and virtualized infrastructures based on VMware
  • Very good English skills (both written and spoken) complete your profile
  • Ideally, you already have experience with Cisco and the Azure environment
