THE ROLE
As an IT Systems Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and further developing our diverse IT infrastructure. In addition to administering server and network systems, you will play a key role in implementing forward-looking IT projects and ensuring IT security. With your technical expertise, you will ensure high system availability and serve as a competent point of contact for complex technical issues.
This role is based in our Canyon Tech Hub Barcelona, bringing together top tech talent to shape the future of cycling.
YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW
- Infrastructure & Server Administration: You are responsible for the smooth operation of our hybrid infrastructure as well as the administration of our Windows server landscape.
- Exchange & Hybrid Environment: You manage our Exchange environment in a hybrid model, ensuring a seamless bridge between local infrastructure and Microsoft 365.
- Data Security & Cloud Backup: You manage our remaining file server structures and are responsible for implementing and monitoring our cloud backup strategies for data security.
- 2nd-Level Support: You provide qualified 2nd-level support for our employees and solve complex technical issues within the infrastructure environment.
- Specialized Systems & Interface Management: You immerse yourself in specialized systems (e.g. document management systems, manufacturing systems, warehouse management systems) to act as a competent point of contact and interface between our business departments and external software partners.
- Vendor & Service Coordination: You coordinate external service providers and support staff during maintenance, updates, or system adjustments within our application landscape.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management: You create and maintain system documentation and operating manuals to sustainably secure knowledge within the crew.
HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE
- You have a successfully completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable field; alternatively, you have completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) with relevant professional experience
- You have sound experience in the administration of Microsoft Windows Servers, Active Directory, and Exchange (ideally in a hybrid environment)
- A good understanding of networking basics as well as backup technologies (both onpremises and cloud-based) are a plus
- A quick grasp of complex software logic and are eager to dive deep into specialized systems like DMS, MES, or WMS
- You are characterized by a structured way of working and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong communication skills and maintain a clear overview even when coordinating various external partners and service providers
- Very good English skills (both written and spoken) complete your profile
