THE ROLE

 

Join our IT Operations team and collaborate closely with Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Data Science to create a scalable, resilient, and AI-ready cloud environment. Your mission: ensure our systems not only run efficiently today, but are prepared to meet the complex demands of tomorrow’s AI applications.

YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW

 

  • Design and operate AI-ready infrastructure: Build and maintain scalable, secure cloud environments for internal and external AI agents (e.g., Azure AI, OpenAI).

  • Manage hybrid IT landscapes: Ensure smooth operation of hybrid systems on Azure or GCP, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS components.

  • Automate with Infrastructure as Code: Use Terraform and PowerShell to automate, enhance, and document our cloud infrastructure.

  • Integrate security standards: Embed relevant security requirements into all AI-related cloud services.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot: Leverage observability tools (e.g., Log Analytics, Azure Monitor) to proactively optimize system performance.

  • Support MLOps and deployments: Contribute to operational management of LLMs, including CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and versioning.

  • Innovate and collaborate: Participate in interdisciplinary IT projects, explore emerging technologies, and support proofs-of-concept.

HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE

 

  • A degree in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification.

  • Several years of experience operating cloud infrastructures (Azure or GCP).

  • Hands-on knowledge of automation and integration tools (Terraform, PowerShell).

  • Experience or strong interest in AI services, LLMs, and AI infrastructure.

  • Proficient in both German and English.

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, or comparable LLM platforms.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and MLOps practices.

  • Certifications in Azure or GCP.

  • Basic understanding of AI security, prompt engineering, or vector-based cloud architectures.
