THE ROLE

 

In this dynamic and cross-functional role, you’ll take the reins on the technical side of our CAD, PDM, and PLM systems – both on-prem and in the cloud. You’ll be our go-to expert for systems like SolidWorks and Onshape, driving their development and making sure everything runs like a well-tuned bike. But that’s just part of the story.

You’ll bridge IT, Engineering, and Operations, helping to digitize and streamline our entire product development process. Whether it's shaping our digital twin, structuring BOMs, managing change processes, or building smart integrations – you're right in the middle of Canyon’s digital transformation.

YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW

 

System Administration & Integration

  • Administer, configure, and continuously improve our CAD, PDM, and PLM environments.

  • Ensure system performance and stability, manage updates and data migrations.

  • Design and maintain technical workflows and integrations between systems.

Process Design & Digitalization

  • Analyze current engineering processes and identify areas for digital enhancement.

  • Develop strategic concepts for BOM structures, CAD integration, and change processes.

  • Contribute to the company-wide digitalization strategy in product development.

Requirements Management & Product Ownership

  • Gather and prioritize business requirements from a wide range of departments.

  • Work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.

Support & Training

  • Provide expert support for users on CAD, PDM, and PLM tools.

  • Create training materials and deliver sessions to support user adoption.

Quality Assurance & Documentation

  • Ensure data quality and consistency across systems.

  • Develop and maintain templates and configurations that support standardized workflows.

HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE

 

  • A degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.

  • Several years of experience with CAD, PDM, and PLM system administration and implementation.

  • Proven expertise in optimizing product development processes within PLM environments.

  • Fluency in German and a solid command of English, both spoken and written.

  • Strong analytical skills, clear communication, and a hands-on, proactive attitude.
