THE ROLE
The Demand Planning Manager will be key to lead the cross-functional team efforts in accurately forecasting demand for Canyon Business. This role will be ensuring high quality and accuracy by feeding forecasts on SKU level, bringing external and internal inputs into the forecasting process to serve the customer in the marketplace. This role plays a critical part in aligning business strategies with operational execution, ensuring optimized stock levels and improved forecast accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, experience in demand planning tools, and the ability to develop and maintain long lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders:
YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW
- Drive an aligned 24 month rolling demand forecasting process on SKU level, focusing on the mid to long term growth opportunities for Canyon.
- Utilise o9 Solutions Demand Planning Tool to develop and maintain forecasts leveraging and interpreting data developed from statistical models
- Collaborate with Sales, Category, and Supply Chain teams to align forecasts with business strategies (consensus demand).
- Regularly update o9 tool to develop and refine forecast accuracy (MAPE, BIAS). Assure the timely communication of ongoing forecast changes to stakeholders.
- Monitor and optimize size curves based on real-time sell-through performance, regional demand patterns and digital insights from Canyon.com
- Support S&OP process, in close alignment with Supply Planning, Category and Finance.
- Closely work with the Supply Planning Team by giving them the right input to deliver the needed levels of inventory to meet Customer Demand.
- Proactively identify opportunities for demand planning process improvement. Drive and lead a culture of continuous improvement, able to spot automation opportunities and building to scale.
HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE
- Educational level: Bachelor degree in Business Administration or similar
- 4/5+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply planning and/or Retail Planning
- Strong proficiency in forecasting tools (hands on experience on o9 is preferred), able to translate data into meaningful insights and optimise demand process
- Excellent knowledge of MS office package and reporting/visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, SAP)
- Self Starter Attitude – able to navigate in ambiguous scenarios and drive proactive communication with stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills to influence decision-making across teams. Experience working in a complex organizational matrix.

- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
