THE ROLE
The Sales Operations Team delivers all operational tasks supporting Canyon Sales in the EMEA and APAC region. This includes sales strategies, analysis and data, (technical) pricing, and demand forecasting. Furthermore, the sales operations team is relevant in overall business projects and leads sales-owned projects by itself.
The Pricing and Sales Operations Manager will support the APAC sales team with day-to-day business and needs. This includes a broad range of tasks from sales pricing coordination, sales campaign management, product launch planning, (AdHoc) analysis and reporting to managing and determining the Bicycle Demand Forecasting for markets APAC sales regions.
You will work closely with global teams located in Koblenz (Germany) as well as the local market APAC teams to deliver all necessary parts to grow the regional business. The role will report directly to the Sales Operations Team in Koblenz.
The position will be located in our APAC headquarter in Shanghai, China.
YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW
- In close collaboration with the global teams in Koblenz, Germany (Sales, Digital, Marketing, Category Management, …) you will implement sales pricing strategies (list and sales prices) for all product types (bikes, gear, outlet, freight costs) for the APAC markets
- Ensure the data quality of our sales pricing strategies and execute calculations into all relevant currencies
- Track exchange rates closely
- Point of contact for all departments and markets for APAC specific pricing inquiries
- Setup, coordination and reporting of marketing and sales (coupon) promotions for local/regional campaigns as well as support for global sales and/or CRM campaigns
- Operational coordination of the market forecasting to support the global S&OP meeting
- Manage ongoing revision of demand forecasts in conjunction with local Market Managers and teams in the Headquarter.
- Monitor and report sales as a baseline for sales strategy adjustments to improve Canyon’s profitability and sales success.
- Coordinate regional (APAC) sales campaigns and represent the point of contact for the regional part of global sales campaigns
- Suggest the regional sales campaign portfolio incl. discounts and align with regional General Manager
- Set priorities, targets and daily plans, track performance and suggest strategy adjustments if needed
- Report on stock and availability and act as point of contact in related questions from different departments
- Support in frequent exchange within the S&OE process to maximize performance by task execution
HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE
- Completed business degree or comparable qualification (e.g. commercial training or additional certification)
- At least three years of professional experience in Sales Operations in e-commerce, direct-to-consumer business desired
- Strong analytical abilities while also being able to develop and present creative solutions in an organized manner
- Good knowledge of forecasting processes and reporting
- Experience of work in a global environment
- Fluent English. Mandarin preferable. Further languages are a plus.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills and experience with SAP/ERP preferred
- Experience in the bicycle industry desired but not mandatory
