THE ROLE

The Operations Manager Asia Pacific is the operational lead for our operations in Asia, including a third party managed warehouse (3PL) and a technical service provider for assembly, quality and returns management. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of our contracts with 3PLs and service providers in addition to proactively monitoring and supporting inbound and outbound shipments, quality control, returns refurbishment, country specific adaptations and related processes, to ensure the highest levels of quality, service and customer experience every day. This role will be based in Hong Kong (hybrid working environment) and requires extensive travelling in the APAC region.

YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW

  • Contract management for 3PL and service provider according to agreed KPIs and SLAs, including preparing detail analyses and participating on regular supplier reviews to ensure service standards remains high. 
  • Closely monitoring the “Control Tower Report” (ETD rolling plan and ETA schedule), as well as the “Sales Campaign and Launch Calendar”, and communicate relevant updates to the 3PL to help them optimize warehouse operations (e.g. capacity, seasonal volumes) and prepare for peak trading periods. 
  • Critically supervise, review and enhance operational processes, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), standard reporting, and tools to ensure a quality, cost-efficient service that meets organizational requirements.
  • Ensure that the 3PL and service provider implement a continuous quality improvement program, identify opportunities for improvement, and conduct root cause analyses to resolve issues and implement action plans. 
  • Troubleshoot issues related to inbound, outbound, quality control, assembly and returns processes at the warehouse location to ensure daily operations run smoothly. 
  • Manage inventory of Canyon-owned packaging material. 
  • Create and manage Advanced Shipment Notifications (ASN) in Canyon ERP system to ensure smooth inbound processes with our 3PL.   
  • Support the development of cross-functional projects, budgets, business cases, reports, and presentations.
  • Verify and approve invoices from our 3PL and service providers in alignment with our Finance department.

HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE

  • Proficient in verbal and written English language. Cantonese is a plus.   
  • You are an experienced Operations Manager with a background in logistics.
  • University degree in engineering, economics, logistics or related field is a plus.  
  • You demonstrate a solid understanding of KPIs and operational process management. 
  • You are familiar with ERP systems and understand the interfaces between Canyon and third-party providers.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office and Teams is required; experience with SAP ERP is a plus.
  • You work in an independent, structured, and solution-oriented manner.
  • You are proactive, team-oriented, and collaborative.
  • You enjoy working in a dynamic environment with multiple areas of responsibility.
  • You possess strong communication and facilitation skills.
