THE ROLE
Canyon’s Strategy team is the guardian of the long-term direction and performance of Canyon. Our purpose is to oversee all mid- to long-term projects with strategic impact to secure the entire business strategy and the success of Canyon.
We are now looking for a new team member to help achieve our ambitious goals!
As our new SENIOR STRATEGY MANAGER (M/F/D) you will hold a strategic role in supporting the Global Director Strategy in driving our key initiatives and projects forward and enabling high-impact senior stakeholder and board meetings. With your skills and experience you will have a major impact on the direction of Canyon and be part of a massively growing company in a thrilling industry.
You are the perfect fit for the role if you thrive as both an Executor and a Coach towards the business and experienced holding a strategic role in a challenging multi-project environment.
Location for the role is our headquarters in Germany (Koblenz) and we expect on-site presence 3 days a week.
YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW
- Drive forward Canyon’s strategic initiatives & projects:
- Maintain an integrated overview of all strategic projects within Canyon
- See yourself as the keeper of the entire business strategy
- Be a strong partner to all project owners within the business departments and challenge their status assessments
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and offer support and guidance to avoid blockers
- Facilitate coordination across functions and projects and flag interdependencies
- Identify and track risks (timing, cost, impact) and execute well thought escalations to Leadership Team if necessary
- Support in ad-hoc specific initiatives and topics which are at risk
- Use meaningful data to ensure resilient and reliable status reporting
- Enable and secure high-impact senior stakeholder and board discussions:
- Define key objectives for each of the sessions
- Support and guide each topic owners in creating the most impactful materials for Board meeting, Leadership Team and shareholders
HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE
- Masters degree in Business or comparable relevant studies.
- Relevant professional experience (3-5 years) preferably in a Strategy Consulting firm or in a Corporate Strategy function
- Good knowledge of strategic project management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand and find pragmatic solutions to complex questions and problems
- Great communication and presentation skills help you to express your output on a high professional level
- Able to meet deadlines and deliver on time by being flexible, quick and well-organized
- Independent working method with ability to drive your own work module
- Strong team player and good networking skills to build strong relationships in the organization
- Basic understanding of financial metrics (P&L, cost structure, …) are a plus
- Experienced with tools to find & analyze information, expert in use of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Very good English skills, written and spoken
