As our Senior Technical Architect Service Cloud, you will be an important factor in our success and growth. You will focus on designing our best-in-class solutions and be a key interface between the business and the development team. We value active participation in the design and optimization of existing processes in order to constantly improve ourselves as a team, but most importantly our solutions.
This role is based in our Canyon Tech Hub Barcelona, bringing together top tech talent to shape the future of cycling.
YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW
- Strategic Transformation: You drive the continuous transformation of our Service Cloud landscape towards an API-driven and decoupled architecture.
- Requirement Engineering: Continuously analyzing our business requirements and responsible for the implementation in intelligent, stable, and scalable technical solutions.
- Technical Concepts: Responsible for breaking down user stories and use cases into technical concepts and implementation tasks.
- Architectural Design: Creating technical design concepts and documents (data model, system integration concept, data migration planning, etc.).
- Prototyping & Strategy: Ensuring the implementation of prototypes and preparing "make or buy" decisions for new features.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality of the services provided by the development team in technical and architectural terms in accordance with Canyon guidelines and current best practices.
- Governance: Optimizing the improvement of architecture guidelines, development processes, and tools.
- Cross-Cloud Integration Architecture: "Design and oversee complex integration patterns between Salesforce Core (Service/Sales) and B2C Commerce, ensuring seamless data flow for customer service and order management."
- Global Standard Governance: "Establish and enforce Apex coding standards, Flow best practices, and Lightning Web Component (LWC) frameworks for international development teams."
- Data Integrity & Privacy: "Act as the guardian for data architecture and GDPR compliance within the Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring consistent data models across distributed environments."
- Technical Roadmap Alignment: "Collaborate with the SFCC Architect to ensure a unified 'Multi-Cloud' strategy that supports Canyon's global growth."
HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE
- A degree in (technical) computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or in a comparable field of study.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a technical architect or consultant in the CRM field.
- A proven track record (2+ years) in developing Salesforce Core Cloud solutions with a strong focus on Service Cloud.
- Extensive technical knowledge, especially in the areas of Salesforce, complex integration patterns, and DevOps.
- Experience in establishing API-first strategies and designing scalable interfaces (REST, GraphQL) within a Salesforce environment.
- The ability to lead and connect with various interest groups and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and a hands-on, result-oriented way of working.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Multi-Cloud Expertise: "Deep technical knowledge of Salesforce Service Cloud, including Omni-Channel, Case Management, and Service Cloud Voice. Experience with Data Cloud or Marketing Cloud integrations is a strong plus."
- Architectural Frameworks: "Strong experience in designing scalable, Governor-limit-aware solutions and complex asynchronous processing (Queueable, Batch, Future methods)."
- Distributed Team Leadership: "Proven track record of guiding remote or offshore development squads through technical design sessions and rigorous code reviews."
- Strategic Communication: "Ability to translate high-level business requirements from German stakeholders into clear technical blueprints for global engineering teams."
- Certifications: "Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect (or progress towards Technical Architect / CTA) is highly desired."
