THE ROLE
At Canyon Bicycles, we are driven by our passion for delivering world-class bikes directly to riders. To accelerate our growth in the United States and Germany, we are seeking a motivated SEO Manager who will strengthen Canyon’s organic presence, support customer acquisition, and increase brand visibility in these key markets.
In this role, you will be hands-on in executing and optimizing SEO initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams including local market experts, E-Commerce, Content, and Brand. You will play an active part in driving organic traffic growth, improving site performance, and ensuring Canyon remains a leader in the competitive cycling landscape.
YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW
- Execute localized SEO strategies for the US and German markets, in alignment with Canyon’s global SEO goals.
- Develop and manage localized content strategies, overseeing the full content process from briefing to publication.
- Guide freelance copywriters on local content, ensuring quality standards as well as timely delivery.
- Conduct detailed keyword research, mapping, and content planning to support organic growth initiatives.
- Optimize on-site SEO across product categories, landing pages, and blog content within Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Collaborate closely with Market (US/DE), E-Commerce, and Brand teams to maximize site traffic and organic visibility.
- Analyze SEO KPIs, monitor search rankings, and prepare regular performance reports using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Help localize off-page SEO initiatives, including backlink acquisition strategies and external content collaborations.
- Keep up with the pace of new search development due to AI (AI Overviews, AI mode) as well as with user behavior and brand visibility in LLMs (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, etc)
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and stay informed about SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry developments.
- Explore automation opportunities and AI-based solutions to optimize the content production process and improve efficiency.
HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE
- 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally within eCommerce, D2C brands, or a digital marketing agency.
- Proven experience driving content-led organic growth across major search engines (Google, Bing).
- Strong expertise in keyword research, technical SEO fundamentals, on-page and off-page optimization.
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as Sistrix, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, and web analytics platforms like Google Analytics.
- Adept at using LLMs such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity.
- Comfortable collaborating in cross-functional, international teams and working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset, with a focus on turning insights into actionable optimizations.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
- Proactive, solution-oriented attitude with a passion for digital marketing — and ideally, a love for cycling.
